Can there ever be such a thing as TOO much BBQ sauce? Not on our watch. We’ve replaced marinara sauce with the sweet smoky tang of BBQ to create a lip smackin pizza loaded with your favorite late night Like Nugget snack.

What to buy?

Checklist

  • 1 package of Like Nuggets
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying
  • 1 store bought medium to large pizza base
  • 1 cup of your favourite BBQ sauce (it’s important that you like it, we’re using a lot!)
  • 1 cup of shredded plant-based cheese
  • 1 red onion – very thinly sliced
  • 1 handful of cilantro – roughly chopped

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 450F.
  2. Next, get your Like Nuggets crispy by frying in a pan. Heat the oil in a pan on high heat, then fry the nuggets for 2 minutes turning halfway. Once crisp, toss the Like Nuggets with ½ the BBQ sauce to give them a good coating.
  3. Roll out your pizza base and spread the remaining BBQ sauce on it, leaving a little room around the edge for your crust.
  4. Sprinkle on your plant-based cheese and add slices of onion.
  5. Cut each Like Nugget into 3 pieces and spread evenly over your pizza base. Bake for about 15 minutes, or less, until your cheese is bubbling and your crust is golden.
  6. Take the pizza out of the oven, slice, sprinkle with cilantro and dig in.
