What to buy?

Checklist

  • 1 package of Like Chicken Wings
  • Oil for frying
  • Mash
  • 400g Potatoes
  • 200g celery root
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 dl plant milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 stalks of thyme
  • 2 stalks of sage
  • 2dl red wine
  • 2dl veggie stock
  • 1 tbsp sugar or agave syrup
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Peel the potatoes and seller root and cut into large cubes
  2. Boil the potatoes and celery in plenty of salted water until tender. Test to see that they are completely soft with a knife.
  3. Drain the water (save a 2 dl to adjust the consistency). Mash the potatoes and celery and add olive oil, plant milk and salt and pepper to taste. Adjust consistency with the saved potato water.
  4. To make the sauce, peel and roughly chop the onion and garlic and fry the in a pot with the olive oil.
  5. When the garlic and onion is soft and slightly brown, add the sugar and let it melt and caramelize for a minute until golden but not burned.
  6. Add the herbs and red vine and let the wine reduce to about half
  7. add the veggie stock and reduce to about half again.
  8. Drain the sauce into a bowl to get rid of onion and herbs
  9. have a taste and season with salt and pepper. It should be quite intense.
  10. Serve the mash, sauce and Like Chicken wings with green beans or peas.
