Like Chicken Teriyaki Katsu

This is a Japanese classic, traditionally made with chicken and served with fluffy white rice. But with Like Schnitzel we can veganize the hell out of this dish… Let’s do this.

for 2 people you’ll need

2 Like Schnitzels



1/2 dl vinegar 

2 dl soy sauce 

1 dl light-brown sugar 

1 tsp ground ginger 

1 tsp mustard 

1 clove garlic, crushed 

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 

1dl ketchup 


White rice boiled to perfection

Sesame seeds and chopped spring onion for garnish

What to do:

Let’s start with the sauce. In a small sauce pan slowly fry the garlic in a little oil. When it’s soft add the cinnamon and ginger and fry for a few minutes, without burning. Add vinegar and sugar and melt the sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat up. this sauce works both hot and cold.

Fry your Like Schnitzels in a bit of oil until golden brown and super crispy
